Hello girls,

I hope you spent a lovely Christmas with your family and friends. But the winter holidays aren't over yet, so there's still time for some English practice, so you don't get rusty over the holidays! :)

We're on the same Christmas topic, so it's good you learn some Christmas vocabulary and revise present continuous: do Christmas Scene 1, plus the Language Focus 1 and then Christmas Scene 2 and the Language Focus 2.

Homework December 21

Hi girls,

This week we revised past simple (regular verbs) and we talked about a typical day of a Chinese student.
As homework I gave you exercise 7 page 19 from the Students Book. Go also to page 132 and read the grammar explanations.

During the lesson we also talked about Christmas in Britain, and I gave you a text to read about it. Your homework for next lesson is to search on the internet how people (or if people) celebrate Christmas in China and Chile. Search what do they do for Christmas, what traditions there are and what they eat.

Christmas will come soon, so lets see what happens in Britain in this period.

Here you can read an article written by a girl called Sabrina, about Britain before Christmas.
On Friday tell me if you agree with her opinion and why.

 On the same topic, please watch this video about Christmas shopping and how a particular shop in London prepares itself for Christmas time.

Hi girls,

In the last lesson we talked about house and furniture, countable and uncountable nouns and quantifiers.
Do you remember what quantifiers are? a little, many, much, a lot of, lots of, a few are quantifiers.

Here's an exercise with quantifiers, do it and check your answers online. You can also read about them, just to revise quickly.
