Here are some links for you to practise it.

And I thought you could read this article on "Funny Hats".   Have you ever worn a strange hat?

Homework for after Independence day

Hi girls,

As the school will be closed on Friday, April 26, I'm putting some interesting links for you for the week after.

Read - What's so cool about the Kindle reader?

A great book I recommend you searching in the bookshops and read is "To Kill a Mocking Bird" - here's an article about it. Please read it and tell me what the book is about.

Here's an interesting video about what if there was no gravity! Watch it and do the tasks below it.

And finally have some fun and enjoy singing songs form the tops in KARAOKE with your friends!

See you soon,
Silvia

Revision for progress test

Hi girls,

Last lesson we did revision before the progress test, which will be this Friday (19/04/13). I hope Irene is reading this, as she missed the lesson.
I remind you that you need to revise Units 2-5. Some of the topics to be revised are: school time, leisure time (sports and others), the world around us and feelings.

For the grammar part, you can go to the back of the book and read everything again and you can also check my previous posts on my blog.

Have fun revising!

See you,
Silvia

Homework for 12/4/13

Hi Giuliana and Irene,

Today we talked about WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL HAPPY, so here there are some photos that will bring the smile on your face. For next time, choose one and explain why you liked it! :)

Your HOMEWORK for the next lesson (April, 12) is the writing at page 51, exercise 7.
Irene, since you missed the lesson, go through exercises 1-6 from Writing Part 3 and then do exercise 7. Irene, do also exercises 1-5   from page 48 -  Reading Part 5.

Please make sure you do the homework from the previous lesson - the two pages with the modals verbs!

See you next week!

Silvia

Homework for Easter holidays

Hi girls,

This is just a reminder of the homework I gave you in class: pages 22 and 23 from the Workbook and some pages with modals: must, mustn't, have to, don't have to - to read and learn and some exercises.

And here is a  nice video about how you make Easter Eggs! The video is quite fast, so you can read the transcript if you have difficulties.

Happy Easter!

Modal verbs and others (Hw for March 22)

Hello girls,

In the last lesson we talked about feelings and modals verbs, such as: can, could, may and must.
Here are two links (here and here) where you can read more about these modals and practise them!

Something else now: do you like skateboarding? or maybe you enjoy watching it? Here's a cool interview of two skaters from LA!
Read it, do the tasks below AND choose 4 new words/expressions, look them up in the dictionary and make a phrase with them.

As usual, I'll check your homework next time, so please do it!

See you on Friday,
Silvia
